Since 1 January 2025 the threshold is 1 010 PLN for a person living alone and 823 PLN per person in a family (Dz.U. 2024 poz. 1044). Housing costs are at least the fixed charges for the flat attributable to you and charges for energy, gas, water, sewage and waste (Art. 144 para. 1b).

For how long

  • The first permit in the first year of studies - 15 months (Art. 145 para. 1).
  • A further permit - for the period of studies extended by 3 months, up to 3 years (Art. 145 para. 4).

You submit the application in MOS no later than on the last day of your legal stay - see how to submit an application in MOS. The voivode conducts the case taking into account the start date of studies (Art. 149 para. 1).
