Residence for studies in Poland
Students from outside the EU usually come on a visa and then apply for a residence card. We explain the rules of residence during and after studies.
A temporary residence permit for studies is granted to a foreigner who starts or continues studies at a university approved to admit foreigners (or not subject to approval) and meets the conditions of Art. 144 of the Act on Foreigners. The first permit in the first year is granted for 15 months (Art. 145 para. 1).
In this section we describe documents and financial resources, student work, change of university, removal from the list of students and residence after studies.
