What happens after removal

  • The rector notifies in writing, without delay, the voivode who granted you the permit about your removal from the list of students (Art. 149 para. 3 of the Act on Foreigners).
  • The voivode may withdraw the permit for studies because of the removal (Art. 148 para. 2). A permit is also withdrawn when the purpose of stay has ceased (Art. 101 point 1).
  • With a further application for a permit for studies, the removal may be a ground for refusal (Art. 147 para. 3). When you have been removed from the list, a further student visa may also be refused - see student visa.

Work and insurance

The right to work without a permit as a student results from studies and the permit for studies - after removal and withdrawal of the permit you lose this basis. The right to healthcare services of a person removed from the list of students expires 4 months after the removal (Art. 67 para. 5 point 2 of the Act on publicly funded healthcare services).

What you can do

  • Check whether you can appeal against the decision of the university and of the voivode - the deadline is given in the instruction in the decision. See refusal decision - what next.
  • If you have another ground of residence (work, family, new studies), submit an application on that basis in MOS while your stay is legal (Art. 105 para. 1).
  • If the permit was withdrawn and you have no other ground, you must leave Poland within 30 days of the day the withdrawal decision became final (Art. 299 para. 6 point 1 letter a).

We do not write appeals, but we can explain the decision and check which new ground of residence is possible - see explanation of letters.
